Cell Phone service

I just moved north of the border and have found that cell phone service seems to be very expensive for what you get. I live on Vancouver Island and even calling the next town over counts as long distance and costs me extra with Bell. Can anyone recommend a good plan or lesser known service provider. I would prefer a plan with nation-wide calling being all one rate and don't really want to pay more than $50 a month. Thank you so much!

    Yeah man, Canadian cell service is almost twice as expensive as the states; I think it is because there are considerably less people to split the cost of the infrastructure. Check out VOIP services, and check with your U.S cell provider what their Canadian plan is, it still might be cheaper. Love and Light, madmark,
